After graduating from Rice University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Bioengineering, Dr. Albers attended medical school at the University of Texas Health Science Center School of Medicine in San Antonio, TX. Dr. Albers completed his general surgery residency at the University of Louisville in Kentucky.
Dr. Albers specializes in laparoscopic and endoscopic surgeries, as well as advanced trauma life support. He has received extensive training in advanced SAGES surgical procedures and has authored & presented research related to radiology for technicians, including defining imaging of tissue as a diagnostic tool for inflammatory breast cancer.
Dr. Albers enjoys woodworking, playing the cello, and native prairies.
